Seven scrap standards for lifting straps

Lifting slings are divided into two categories: white and color. They can be used to lift heavy objects individually, or they can be combined with shackles and electric hoists, lifting equipment or traction tools for automobile roadblocks. The hoisting belt will accelerate the wear of the surface after long time use. In order to improve the working efficiency of the hoisting belt, the operator should understand the seven scrapping standards and maintenance methods of the hoisting belt to ensure that the work can proceed smoothly.

1. Seven scrap standards for lifting straps

(1) When hoisting with transverse edges cut off, it should be scrapped.

(2) When the lifting belt is severely twisted, deformed, or fluffed, it should be scrapped.

(3) The hoisting should be scrapped if it has local scratches or is scratched by sharp objects.

(4) When the sling body is cut, severely scratched, loose strands, or partially broken, it should be scrapped.

(5) The hoisting belt should be scrapped when the surface of the hoisting belt is severely worn and abnormally deformed, and the wear reaches 1/10 of the width of the original hoisting belt.

(6) The lifting belt should be scrapped when it becomes moldy and deteriorates, acid-base burns, thermal melting or scorching, and multiple places on the surface are loose or corroded.

(7) When the synthetic fiber is softened or aged (yellow), the surface is rough, the synthetic fiber is peeled off, the elasticity changes, and the strength is weakened, it should be scrapped.

2. Maintenance method of lifting belt

(1) For damp slings, dry them and store them to avoid damp and mildew.

(2) The hoisting belt should be kept away from heat sources (flame and electric welding), sunlight and long-term ultraviolet radiation.

(3) The hoisting belt should be stored on a shelf after use, and should not be placed directly on the ground to prevent mold and rat bites from occurring after the hoisting belt is used.

(4) The hoisting belt should be cleaned once after 3-6 months of use. For acid-alkali applications, use cold water or detergent to clean the hoisting belt after use, and dry it for storage.
